This shall be a useless blog post, but I love these songs. I’m definitely planning on using them during our wedding in February! Still have a lot of planning to do, but it’s pretty exciting. (:
Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross’ I’m Gonna Make You Love Me has always been the story between Josh and me. Throughout our nine years together, there were always those times when it either him or me trying to get each other’s heart. Sometimes, I still fall asleep wondering how on earth we got where we are today. And, of course, I fell in love with Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough when I first watched the 1998 film Stepmom. Their song, Your Precious Love, is a song for us now, or at least, the current soundtrack to our never-ending love story. If Josh and I had a soundtrack of love songs, say like the (500) Days of Summer album, it wouldn’t be cohesive at all. It would be a mix of Motown songs, Queen, Phoenix, The Smiths, old R&B, Earth Wind & Fire, jazz, bossa nova, and fun songs like Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin, Till There Was You by Paul McCarthy, Joyful Girl by Dave Matthews & Soulive, The Girl From Ipanema by Astrud Gilbert & Stan Getz, Yellow and Fix You and so many other songs by Coldplay, and even Brandy, You’re A Fine Girl by the Looking Glass. There’s too many to name now. But, really, all I wanted to do with this useless post was put up some good ol’ songs that would pick me up. It’s that time of the month again, and you know how that is.
