Do you live in San Diego? Did you ever want to take a creative writing class but just didn’t know where to start?
Jennifer Derilo, one of TAYO’s good friends and Creative Nonfiction Editor at Kartika Review, is teaching an Intro to Creative Writing at Southwestern College! She’s super rad and a really great writer, so please help her out. If you know ANY one in San Diego that would be interested in her class, please spread the word!
Jennifer Derilo received her MFA (creative nonfiction emphasis) from Mills College, where she was its first Jacob K. Javits scholar. She enjoys reading (and writing) about people and things unseen. She often has nightmares about zombies. And abandoned predicate parts. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Details of class at SWC:
Starting date is August 18th.
English 117 (Intro to Creative Writing); Th 6:00-8:50p
(Needs 11 more bodies or it might be cancelled.)
English 170 (Fiction); Wed 6:30-9:20p
(Needs 5 more bodies. This class is taught by her good friend but he needs help promoting it too.)
NOTE: Eng 117 is NOT a prereq for 170, so a person could conceivably take both!

Pass it on!
Would you kindly pass this along to anyone who is a writer, might be interested in writing, and/or is a current SWC student or is willing to enroll there this semester? Thank you for reading, guys. Hope y’all are well!
And don’t forget, submit to TAYO this year for our third annual issue!
